As the administrator of
WeHireAliens.com, I get a lot of emails from people who work in the HR departments of some of these companies. The common problem is that there are too many cracks for these illegal aliens to fall through. One common scam is for an illegal alien to present a fraudulent social security card with someone else's name and a stolen or mad-up SSN. When the employer receives a notification that the SSN does not match, they are required to have the employee fix the problem or be terminated. The illegal alien will come back with a new card, with a new name and new number on it. This one is submitted too, with the same result. In the meantime, the employee is already working. He/she then has to go get another card to replace the second one, etc, etc. The employer is doing exactly what the law requires and so cannot be prosecuted.
