REPOSTED DUE TO AVOIDANCE BY C of C'ers TO ANSWER
jk and other C of C'ers,
jk who wrote: "The only way Mary can be forgiven her sins is to confess them to God and have a truly repentant heart."
...your religion says that ONLY C of C'ers can go to heaven, and all who are not will go to hell
...so let me get this straight, someone who is a C of C'er will be forgiven for their sins and go to "heaven" if they are "truly repentant", even if they say kidnapped, raped and killed ten young girls?, and if the ten young girls are not C of C'ers, then they will go to hell?.....is this correct??
...and you still think you are not in a cult??

Well, I am a 5th generation "C of C'er" as you call me, and I'm proud of that fact. But honestly, I see no need to attempt to answer your absurd question because you don't want an answer (or no answer will satisfy you), you just want to flame a church and her people that you know nothing about. Your intolerance and fear of a religious body rivals that of the Muslim country that would kill someone for practicing Christianity that you referenced in a later post.

Some posts have given the impression that the COC is a "cheap grace" cult.
Maybe the "cheap grace" doctrine holds in some COC congregations,
but not the 3 congregations that I visited during my years in OK and TX.
While the public confession and contrition is the route for moral forgiveness...
anyone who stays awake during the sermons would hear that this does NOT
relieve the penitent (sp?) from the real-world consequences of their
actions.
Such as getting the death penalty for committing murder.
The COCs I visited were NOT pansy liberal affairs. There were plenty of
military and law enforcement types in the pews.
The general attitude was "actions have consequences".
Oh, and the non-COCers going to Hell?
Yes, some of the COCers I met did push that line, but some also told me
that "that's G-d's call and above my paygrade". Beyond that I don't
know the details of mainstream COC theology on that point.
