That's something I've thought of, as in her having the addiction.
Prozac will cause people to do crazy things, too. I know of a woman on Prozac who shot and killed her 5 year old, then wounded her 12 year old. He made it to a neighbors for help before he died. She did it about the time her husband should have been getting home from work. She left a note alluding to this. She had planned on killing the kids, then her husband, then herself, but her husband had to work late so he didn't come home as scheduled and when her 12 year old got away and she saw the police coming, she took her own life.

re: your story about the woman who killed and injured her kids:
Was she ON the Prozac, or had she recently stopped? Many people who take antidepressants will start to feel "better" and d/c the meds. Many then become psychotic (ok, maybe not clinically, but still wacko). Whenever I hear stories of people on meds who do these horrible crimes (not that we know that about this family) I often wonder when they actually took their last pill. They don't understand the chemical dependence / withdrawal.
SAFETY NOTE: If you are on antidepressants and decide to stop taking them, CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR FIRST! Be sure to tell those near and dear that you are stopping. Know the signs!!!!
