there are many people with good morals and common sense who are not religious
...you know what i find amazing: it's how religious people think they are better than non-believers, yet so many of these religious people are phony hypocryts as they committ the same sins over and over and think all they have to do is beg for foregiveness every sunday...geez, you'd think there would be a three strike rule
...it's also absurd that a murderer, serial killer, rapist or child molester "gets in" your afterlife - all he needs to do is beg for foregiveness on sunday too
There are hypocrites in every walk of life. Unfortunately, there are a lot of so-called Christians that are the worst. But that doesn't mean that blanket statements like the ones you made about the church of Christ are warranted.
It don't exactly work that way. He can beg for forgiveness all he wants but it won't be granted unless he truly has a change of heart, and if he has that change of heart, he will live it. He won't be out doing the same evil deeds over and over again.
