I have been reading about the Trilateral Commission "banking conspiracy" for years. The primary proponent of this theory once was a group called "Liberty Lobby" that had some anti-semitic inclinations. The Trilateral Commission was almost a code for the Rothchild banker (Jewish) conspiracy.
The theory is that Trilats want to create a one world government controlled by bankers. People across the political spectrum, in theory are on the same page to give up our sovereignty to others, for what, money??
I am not convinced. First, I don't see all the people that are claimed to be a part of this conspiracy to be in agreement on principles contrary to our sovereignty. In particular, I see huge differences between President Reagan and Bush 43 on one side and Carter, Clinton on the other. All agree on free trade, as do I. The economic benefits from free trade are easily recognizable due to the reduction in trade barriers across the world in the past 20 -25 years. However, Bush has resisted many of the left proposals to surrender our sovereignty. Second, I don't how the "August Review" has factual demonstrated the evil intentions of Trilats. What has happened in the last 30 years that demonstrates the evil intent of the Trilats? A lot of good things have happened in the last thirty years, the fall of the Soviet Union; the Internet has created knowledge freedom across the world; the world economy has improved due to freer trade; more countries have democratic or quasi-democratic countries.
If the Trilats are so evil, what have they done that is so bad?
