What's the state political climate like? Is it likely he'll be recalled? He's up for re-election in 2010, but if he goes for the pres nomination, isn't there a republican rule, if you run, you have to give up your seat?
That's another possibility. Let's go ahead and let him declare his candidacy and then swoop in with a strong move to make him give up his Senate seat to run. Ideas?
