90 businesses on the south side closed....

Milwaukee is still quite segregated. Those businesses were in the Latino part of town. They shut down their own part of the city! Out here in the whiter 'burbs, nothing happened. We just saw on our TVs that there was a protest over lunch.

Very odd planning on this thing. They actually got a ton of people out, but they had them march through an almost completely uninhabited area. The 6th street viaduct to Zeidler park. The viaduct is surrounded by a wasteland of empty industrial lots.
