Oh my. If we're getting to go back to the Framer's --- let's go back ALL the way and not just conveniently for you: do away with electing senators by popular vote.

Your lame duck premise is faulty: it's presumes that they will ALL be rascals if term limited. Not so. GOOD people who have to return to the private sector just might be better officeholders and have an interest in HONOR, DUTY and accountability above personal gain, sweetheart pensions and other perks.

While we're at it, how about land ownership as a prerequisite to sufferage?

Great! Let's do away with popular election of Senators. I'm all for it.

OK. And when we find one of those few good representatives who don't abuse their office during their lame duck session, term limits prohibits us from voting for them to serve another term.
