Keep reading the responses - this has extremely little to do with "finance reform," whatever THAT is.
There's a chance this site gets shut down in early September because of M-F.

McCain was also criticized for his continued use of an ethnic slur in reference to his Vietnamese captors. He told reporters, "I hate the gooks.... I will hate them as long as I live." [8] At first, he stood by his use of the slur, saying that it was "the kindest, the kindest description I can give them." [9] McCain later reversed his position and apologized. Typical political opportunist...wouldn't have been refreshing if he stood by his original comments? The guy is scum...anyone who hasnt read the wikipedia bio should...thanks for the link...

[ Mrs. Clinton wrote about her imaginary conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt in her June 10 syndicated column. She said she talked to Roosevelt about the role of a first lady. ]
Dame Edna sounds curiously like Eleanor Rooseveldt with a british accent..

The stupid ones handed it over to Clinton the last time we ran an a$$ hole...Yeah, the very ones who are blackmailing the GOP with their votes right now.
If the base is not motivated to vote, the rats will win.
I am part of the base -- look around -- we're ALL very motivated and we're ALL going to vote GOP.

I have been watching GW this week (taking valuable time from my business to actually listen to his press conferences and speeches in their entirety). I am seeing the person I admire coming out and making his case to us. God bless our President. I almost NEVER watch CNN or MSNBS, but I did tonite. Keith Olberman (never saw him before tonite) was having an absolute fit! He looked like he was gonna have a stroke or something. "Mr. Bush is attacking the media, assaulting the messenger...." Every now and then I watch an hour or so of the enemedia to remind myself why I don't watch them.

But wouldn't it take a constitutional amendment to eliminate the electoral college? IIRC, a constitutional amendment has to be approved by two thirds of state legislatures, so this would have no chance of passage. The smaller 30 states would never pass this amendment because they would lose a lot of clout with incumbent adminstrations in Washington (who need their support for reelection.)

I must be.
I can't seem to make myself forget McCain's love affair with O'Connor and his diliberate manuveur to sabotage confirmation of judges like Brown and others like Kavanugh still being filibustered, which led to the nomination of Miers over a Justice such as Alito initially.
Sorry, the idea of someone with an "R" by their name just doesn't have the ability to invoke amnesia in this corner.
Insults from you aside, attempting to make the argument that McCain can be trusted to appoint the correct judges in the wake of the Fourteen sell out is tough to do. You are welcome to try, but insulting me isn't going to make that argument more convincing or dissaude anyone from the stance that McCain is at least comparable to the threat a dem poses.

Several days later Rush said Clinton was going to slip through that one too. Darn if Rush wasn't right.
Who wants to endure scandal after scandal AGAIN?
I'm surprised Hillary hasn't had a major scandal. She's evidently waiting for the Whitehouse for more of those. Scandals just aren't the same out of the Whitehouse.

Look at the federal judges apppointed by democrat presidents.
One in CA stopped the execution of Morales, who's been on death row for 25+ years.
Do you really see no difference between ACLU types on the bench and those of GOP presidents?
