FBI - STILL SEARCHING FOR THE ANTHRAX MAN The fourth anniversary has come and gone since Bob Stevens, a British picture editor for American Media Inc., who had settled in Florida, became the first of five victims after coming into contact with Ames - a weapons grade strain of anthrax. At the time, the FBI were fairly convinced terrorism was involved, though the bureaus opinion has changed often and many officers remain openminded. The public could not have imagined that four years later, no-one has been charged with the crime of sending anthrax-laden envelopes in the post. The death of Mr Stevens sparked a huge international manhunt, and while the anthrax source has been traced, the identity of the killer dubbed the anthrax man remains as elusive as Jack the Ripper. Eye Spy provides an update on the case.

In a major development, potentially as significant as the capture of Saddam Hussein, investigative journalist Richard Miniter says there is evidence to indicate Saddams anthrax program was capable of producing the kind of anthrax that hit America shortly after 9/11. Miniter, author of Losing bin Laden, told Accuracy in Media that during November he interviewed U.S. weapons inspector Dr. David Kay in Baghdad and that he was "absolutely shocked and astonished" at the sophistication of the Iraqi program.
Miniter said that Kay told him that, "the Iraqis had developed new techniques for drying and milling anthraxtechniques that were superior to anything the United States or the old Soviet Union had. That would make the former regime of Saddam Hussein the most sophisticated manufacturer of anthrax in the world." Miniter said there are "intriguing similarities" between the nature of the anthrax that could be produced by Saddam and what hit America after 9/11. The key similarity is that the anthrax is produced in such a way that "hangs in the air much longer than anthrax normally would" and is therefore more lethal.
I am a firm believer that Saddam indeed manufactured and distributed this Anthrax used in the mailing attacks. He got it from university samples that were sent there for medical study, Yes, ames strain. Some folks call me crazy but I also think that he did the very same thing West Nile Virus. I always found it quite interesting that Kay's comments went by the wayside so easily after the lefties touted his earlier statements.

Microbulbs/fumed silica like Cab-o-sil or Aerosil- It wouldn't take a genius to figure out how useful material of this nature would be to disperse a bioweapon.
Iraq purchased a lot of Cab-o-sil.
