My point was, we need to treat the unborn as real human beings in every respect - and the society at large, even with abortion aside, doesn't. Polio or hard measles or scarlett fever were not intentional murder either, but we worked hard to eradicate them. One could have argued that one in five, six, ten whatever children dying before the age of five was "the natural order of things"; however a technologically advanced culture doesn't accept that fate.

The underlying premise of your statements here is that the community of modern medical practitioners does not work to avert the conditions that lead to spontaneous miscarriages. Utter nonsense!

I would just love to hear from this shill for death a single 'convincing argument' that a human lifetime, at least one, doesn't begin at conception. This man is a democrap first and perhaps a 'christian' second or third, etc. I strongly condemn his desire to be a 'christian apologist' for the slaughter of human beings at their earliest ages. The Islamofascists he should embrace.

How else could we spend millions of dollars to oppose abortion --- despite no clear biblical argument for or against it --- and ignore the overwhelming number of biblical texts that explicitly command us to care for the poor?

I'll go way out on a limb and suggest the 6th commandment covers this.

What seminary teaches that the Bible (capitalized!!!) is silent on killing children???

That you are confused enough to ask if contraception (the act of denying a conception to take place) is comparable with the deliberate killing of a human being conceived reveals a whole lot about your agenda-driven reason for defending the indefensible.

As a 'pastor' you would expect that this servant of the most low had read of the instances when God sent folks to war! What an evil work this person is and how fully he will serve his master, the father of lies.

I have to concur, my friend.

Though many of the pastors on the Left are simply politically compromised socialists, I do believe that part of the famine of the Word we're having in this country is expressed in a simple reversal of the complexity assigned to issues. By this I mean that simple doctrines are made complex, vague and allegoric, and complex issues are made knee-jerk simple.

War is one of the most complex moral issues humans face, and people like this man reduce it to a thing that is always the greater evil. Meanwhile, he treats the killing of a small child as a deep-thinking intellectual exercise, frought with many twists and turns of ethical point and counterpoint. For another example, look at the way the leftchurch treats homosexuality. In orthodox doctrine it is simple that the behavior is out of bounds, but the way the individual sinner is to be treated and ministered to is a complex affair. The leftchurch has reversed this, making homosexual behavior wonderful in some instances, bad in others (supposedly, but check the gay bishop in New Hampshire for their real attitude), but making the issue of welcoming the homosexual into the church very simple: Welcome them in every way no matter what they're doing.

"...despite no clear biblical argument for or against it ..."

I'm not sure what this has to do with anything, assuming it's true.

But it's not OK to kill an enemy running at me and my neighbors with a sword, threatening to cut off our heads, because we should give peace a chance.

He's referring to collateral damage, not combatants.
