Having read the Mearsheimer-Walt piece now, thanks to you, I can't fault Duke for this statement. Mearsheimer and Walt have come around to Duke's position.

I agree with you. Duke is correct - the only thing that distinguishes Mearsheimer's piece from Duke's point of view is the tonality of the language, not the arguments employed.
