Mearsheimer is not Chomsky or Al-Arian or Ward Churchill. I mean, I actually used to respect this guy. I took classes from professors who were activists and I took classes from serious academics and I know the difference between the two.
This guy was the latter. It's depressing - I would assume that Heidegger's former students who watched their once-respected mentor kowtow with the Nazis felt similarly.
