Oh, yes..I slept during the day today! I can sleep odd hours... so unless 5 more motherless 1 week old kittens show up..never worry about me catching up on my sleep.
This is a beautiful thread, Star..I am sorry you have sick kids.
Has the wind dried up your puddles/lakes. How is your fireplace? Hurricane proof?
I love to watch the snow fall..I turned off all the lights except for the out door spots and stayed up all night and watched one of those rare big snowfalls in the Dallas area..
SassyI went out in the 6 inches of snow and carefully placed his feet down and up like an Spanish horse! I love watching it..but not driving in it.
The Fireplace is being used by both The Kids and the Marines, and is the proverbial immovable object.
Thankfully, the rains have stopped. The winds have dropped the temps again, but we can deal with that...
My cats are funny about it. One doesn't care, the other is leary. Sometimes the snow isn't wet and they don't realize til their tummies are wet, or until it does get wet from their warmth. I too enjoy watching it.
Sounds like "sound" construction. LOL! Keep your woobie close.

It was last year..The mother abandoned them in the compost pile..and ran off with some ne're do well tomcat to start all over again...I assume she was a stray cat. NO ONE would take them..because they require too much time and effort..and the family fortune went to eventually having them all neutered and vaccinated..We are overrun but ended up keeping them.
Sassy(III) was touch and go there for awhile..We studied and learned how to get their bodily functions working..It takes a long tme before they go on their own.Their mother stimulates them..Taking care of that..then bathing them and feeding took over an hour and then the bottles washed, bedding usually needed changed..and at first the feedings were every 3 hours..
It was the tiredest I have been in awhile!

Hihawaya!
Halfheartedly finishing up the laundry.. FR calls me. ;)
Quite an undertaking....so young. And what a lot of things to learn to be a kitty momma. Good for you.
I did not do it alone..I could not have..That hour or more to feed them was with two feeding...It was a group effort and still it was all consuming.
