Senate Democrats have mapped a political battle plan for the March congressional recess that calls on lawmakers to stage press events with active duty military personnel, veterans and emergency responders to bash President Bush on virtually every one of his national security policies. The game plan, devised by the office of Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, is contained in a six-page memo distributed to Democratic senators on Thursday at a closed-door meeting at the Capitol and provided to The Washington Times by a congressional staffer. Titled "Real Security," the political document calls for staged town hall events at military bases, weapons factories, National Guard units, fire stations and veterans posts.

We should schedule some press conferences with Wiseguys who are willing to talk about Senator Reid.
Oh Gee .. the Dems have yet another "plan"
6 years into the Bush administration and the Democrats have finally come up with a strategy to lead this country in its time of......Oh wait, it's the same old strategy of blaming President Bush for everything.
bump
and after their bashing fest, their proposed plan of policy alternatives is..... is......is......????(silence)
I'd like to see what type of reception they will get at these staged events. I'm thinking that if they get ten servicmembers in the event they will have one hundred outside the event.
...and yet they have little to nothing to say bad about Saddam, Fidel, etc.
How are the dems going to use active duty military personnel? I thought active duty could not publicly criticize a commander in chief (remember Bill Clinton?)
Domestic traitors are a greater danger to this country than any foreign terrorists ever spawned.
Here comes the greatest liberal stab in the back since Vietnam.
Support our troops and their mission.
God bless the USA!
Interesting, the democrats give out their game plan to the enemy!
Make no mistake, this is more about attacking all conservatism and family values using the social liberal President Bush as the target he made himself by ignoring the conservative agenda of the people who put him there.
Oh, for a conservative presidential and congressional candidates that would support our constituional rights and ammendments. Is there a Ronald Reagan anywhere? And I hate what the repubs allow as much as I hate the communist democrats and the communist media that supports them. Put a nazi uniform on Harry Reid and you would have the true picture of who and what he really is; along with those who follow him.
Unless, of course it's something good - like the economy. I remember a lot of "worst economy since Hoover" comments, when they thought they could get away with the lie, but never anything good about a booming economy. No credit for no more terror attacks on us either.
Democrats: America's answer to A.N.S.W.E.R.
Well, that's it! NOW, I'm definitely NOT VOTING for Bush in 2008...regardless of how he responds.
Gore is going to use a bullhorn to speak to firefighters
Therefore they have no choice but to sling mud.
It is Democrats form of March Madness.
The loser's approach to politics.
An example of how bad things are for the Democrats is that the incumbent Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania is in trouble because a football player is running against him.
And maybe that is appropriate since the football player was a winner and the Democrats are perennial losers...
There could be ten thousand Iraqi veterans urging victory on the streets outside the event and the left-wing news media will only report on the two veterans who advocate cut and run.
We have to remember that the left-wing news media is a potent and active player in this war that, along with the Democrats, is doing everything in its power to force an American defeat.
In spite of having to fight both Germany and Japan, World War II America had it relatively easy. The World War II American Home Front did not get its war news from Josef Goebbels.
