Topinka sat out the debate, saying she is tired of listening to criticism from her opponents. That seems quite arrogant. That seems close to a bouncing offense. Illinois is not as depressing as California, but it is depressing.

What a couple of goofballs. They should join forces; one of them could be the Lt. Governor. Sheesh.

Could be worse, at least Illinois hasn't crossed the rubicon into New Jersey, New York, or Taxachusetts territory... yet.

The IL GOP debates are a lot like FR. The candidates accuse each other of being RINOs. The candidates are just chanting slogans - "I'm pro-life, I'm anti-illegal latino".
Not much appeal to the swing voter. IL's RAT Governor, Blago, is suffering in polls due to perceived incompetence. He appointed a black muslim who suggested that Hollywood Jews and gays misled Bush into invading Iraqi. Several Jewish groups complained, but Blago isn't listening to them. He values blacks more than Jews. The IL Governor race is going to be a contest between the least corrupt candidate. As long as the George Ryan trial makes news, the RATS win.
