Every morning I log onto the worldwide web, not because I'm a computer geek, but because I want to understand what's going on in the world. I've long since turned my back on the print media for accurate and timely news reporting, and it's getting to the point where I can't even bring myself to watch a televised news broadcasts anymore, simply because tv networks can't seem to report on much of anything these days without insulting my intelligence with some sort of politically correct blather.
...
I need a television news network that doesn't slip misleading statements like "after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks... Muslims were often targeted for violence" (1) into its war-related news coverage, for no apparent reason other than to insinuate that Americans are prone to the same sort of religious-based, reactionary violence that the citizens of many Middle Eastern countries regularly engage in.

If the conservatives screw up, I want to hear about it.
Give me a network that doesn't devote several hours every day to Natalee Holloway and other such stories.
NPR?
National People's Radio?
I am in the same boat...I do not watch ANY television...unless my wife asks me to watch something with her, which I will only do if it is a movie or a special. No news, no sitcoms, no 60 Minutes or Today Show BS.
I get all my news from the Internet, and...FR...:)
There have been radio networks like that. Liberty Works Radio Network was one. But you had to tune it in on hte Net in most places.
The people who ran LWRN would love to get it back on the air. But they need money to do so. If anyone would like to help them, I'm sure they'd appreciate it.
And NPR doesn't even make the effort. Nazi Pinko Radio is so transparently a Far Left propaganda outfit that I am surprised that even liberals listen to it anymore.
I don't want ANY news ... I could care less what's going on in the world. I'll just read FR.
... do I need a sarc. tag???? ;o)
Try the Washington Times National Edition.

LOL.
at least you didn't suggest that you get everything you need from American Idol.
The problem, though, is that in the mainstream media they all have the same bias. If they had some reporters who were liberal, some who were conservative, some who were libertarian, all trying to check it at the door as much as humanly possible, then they would have a fair, balanced, even-handed news operation. Instaed, they just hire liberals and Far Lefties.

What's worse is that Saudi Prince Bin Talal now owns 6.5% of NewsCorp, and had bragged about being able to quash news reports which are critical of Muslims.
We have the Dish Sat system and have observed there are numerous pure leftist channels broadcasting there. (9407, 9410, 9412 and the "Democracy Now" commie channel 9415) It cannot be that expensive, because most do not even have paid commercials.
I have often wondered why there is not at least one purely conservative channel established. If done correctly with good content (not the raving Noam Chomsky loonies like one sees on the lefty channels) I would think it would be a great success.
Hmmm...given his use of the press against John Adams (and against Washington, indirectly), that Jeffersonian view would not be surprising...:)
Link please?
NPR, which at least tries to have equally biased people - at least on Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
Between those news shows and the Wall St. Journal, I get a pretty balanced view of things.
??? Give me a break! National Propaganda Radio? All (Leftist) Things Considered? NPR is blatantly leftist. I despise NPR... read FR threads that deal with NPR, you'll find FReepers almost to a man despise it.
Makes me wonder about you. Are you a DU troll? Or, maybe you are just naive.
All that proves is groupthink prejudice.

No; I just can't stand the tabloid journalism that is on all the cable news networks - especially Fox News (which is banned in my apartment). (And, btw, trolls don't last 6 years on FR.)
"I Need A Conservative Television News Network"
I subscribe to the national edition of the Washington Times, it comes weekly.
Thank you and, Pat Robertson isn't crazy as the MSM would like people to think.
