Well .. that's a nice story but I'm not buying it. And .. pray tell what would be the reason for this sudden upsurge in dem self-identification ..??
Could it be the lying, lying Hillary Clinton and her husband who cannot get their stories straight .. or could it be the 11 democrats who were just convicted for fraud, and other crimes .. most having to do with ELECTION FRAUD .. or would it be because Howard Dean has spent almost all the DNC money .. or is it because most of the normal dem donors are sending their dollars to Hillary - via George Soros ..?? Hmmmm?? That sure would be cause for a lot of dems to want to identify with this party.

If you read the other questions and other polls, you'll see it all ties together nicely. People think the ports deal was a stinker, and they think Iraq is going poorly.
I agree with the majority. You don't. It doesn't automatically your view the majority view.

Most people are not that political, which comes as a shock to Freepers and DUers alike.
The president has exhibited poor leadership and communication of his agenda in the last 8-9 months or so.
What you say about democrats is true, but it isn't important to this dynamic. In polls taken today, more people identify as dems and independents at the expense of the GOP.
Look, I'm a very conservative person and a registered republican since 1986, but as I told you earlier I self identify these days as an independent today. There are many many people a lot less political than I am who have done the same. It is esentailly a vote of no confidence in the president's leadership of late.
That, of course, is subject to change.
