Don't laugh, I love horror movies, heavy metal, the macabre, and gothic stuff.

I just read a book about how we treat death through the ages. It was very interesting because it was about we spend all our lives denying and avoiding one of the only things in life that is certain to happen.

It's my understanding that in medieval times a child wasn't even counted as part of the family in the census until he or she had had smallpox and survived. Most didn't.

We are very much in avoidance of the subject of death. As for me, I don't even like roadkill........
