Whoops. Sorry. But as I said it's estimated gross yields depending on many factores will over a period of 7-10 years before the wells run dry, not amount to any significant amount of oil being extracted. Put another way, it will yield less then a weeks supply of crude oil when comparing the US daily need for oil. That is at least what I had come up with based on earlier articles and visiting petroleum sites, reading the charts, estimates etc.. BUT I am all for the drilling. I hope in no way I had sound like I am in any way against it. In fact as you know, only some 5% of ANWR, is targeted. I say why not open the whole damn place up if it can be proven vast amounts of oil could be extracted at a reasonable cost.

We have been flowing from the wells for 30 up here. You making this stuff up. It is ~10 BILLION barrels of oil. If this is not enough oil to be worth producing, name one place in the world that is.
