In the week following 9-11 there was another fatal plane crash near NYC, the airliner from the Dominican Republic. It was determined to be accidental....but many people suspected it was a terrorist act, but the government wanted to cover it up because the country couldn't handle another terrorist act at that point."

My wife and I were in the Caribbean sitting in a resort's lobby waiting for a cab to take us to the airport when the news came over the television. Flights were temporarily suspended, and we were very agitated (to say the least) about getting on that airplane to go home.

We knew we had to get on that plane once the flights resumed; it wasn't an easy thing to do.

That's good news, that your and your wife got home safely. I still believe in my heart that the Dominican airliner crash was terrorism. "No such thing as coincidences", as they say.
