I've been reading the links you've provided today. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is so grateful for what you do here on the Terri's Day thread.
The following is from your quoted part of the National Review Online article:
""According to the Texas law, life-sustaining treatment includes artificial hydration and nutrition. Providing nourishment is not a form of extraordinary medical treatment, and death from starvation is not death from a sickness. An ethics committee should never be allowed to make such a decision against the wishes of an unconscious patients family. This law denigrates the value of both freedom and life.""
Imho, National Review Online gets the obvious when they ended their review of Andrea with the following sentence: THIS LAW DENIGRATES THE VALUE OF BOTH FREEDOM AND LIFE. I think it was BykrBayb who previously pointed out the chilling similarity of a group of doctors, who had the authority to order the death of the sick and disabled in Nazi Germany, and these so called ethics committees(wrongly labeled using the word ethics, imo).
This type of thing was exactly what was being fought by the brave heroes who called themselves The White Rose. They recognized the slippery slope of the slide into the abyss of hell, for exactly what it was. I'm glad the NRO is not fooled by the distortion of words like wishes, rights, dignity, quality of life and etc, whose meanings have been changed to support the death culture's agenda of euthanasia.

Thank you.
