"Mafia Kingfish" is a very good book on this subject.
I remember that one about Carlos Marcello, the Louisana mob, & Dallas mob implicated in the JFK assination.

I found it more plausible than any conspiracy theory out there and I've read a half a dozen or so, many silly.
