Hey Gretchen..........talked with both daughters yesterday about the new P&P, and found that neither were bothered by the ballroom scene. I think it has to do with young, video accustomed eyes, compared with my old ones. :)

Elder daughter, an Austenphile since early adolescence, REALLY loved Sutherland, and said she's cried during that last scene all three times she's seen the movie.

Both girls thought Bingley was OK. Neither thought either Darcy nor Elizabeth were as good as in the A&E version.
