On the bright side, I suppose, is that if a few people actually thought I was serious in that form of thinking, then it would seem I captured the fools that downed this deal pretty well.
As another poster kindly pointed out, I was mocking the idiots that spread that vile propaganda. Putting into words what they thought to get it out of the way, because obviously they aren't interested in hearing the president speak the truth here.
At some point I think the spin on this is going to change. Over time, more and more people will recognize the deal was a good one for us, and we made a mistake. But rather than blame themselves for hyperventilating, and for leaping at warp speed to false conclusions, they'll blame the White House for "not communicating" better. "It's your fault I was so misinformed, gullible, and hot-tempered."
