The problem with the Dems is that they are linear in their thinking---and with blinders on. You have to think through changes before you jump. You must look at the rippling effect of any change. If you don't, you end up addressing the symptom not the root cause.

You sure nailed this one. I've used "The Law Of Unintended Consequences" to describe the same thing. Good intentions that turn out horribly wrong. One of my favorite quotes.

This is the story of Washington politicians; they address the symptoms and not the cause of issues. And unfortunately, more times than not their solution is to add another layer of bureaucracy!
