Hi Mo1
Sorry this is long. It's been to confusing to me to make heads or tails out of this ports deal. Because the divide is even with republican radio commentators about the port deal. The facts were not getting out there for people to make the right decision.

I know a really extremely intelligent republican of age 70+. He's a really dynamic man. He reads everything and he didn't have all the facts and wasn't pleased with the deal. The White House should have predicted the negative propaganda. Misleading of public to think they own and control ports rather than just use of them.

I love Bush to a fault but I have to agree with Tony Snow. By now, the WhiteHouse should know they have to defend their decisions even from our Rinos. Especially one like this. This entire situation has spun out of control because of the lack of taking control.

I agree they should have known .. I'm not saying the president and his staff doesn't screw things up

But at the same time .. Congress piling on didn't help

I am one who had very serious concerns about this port deal ... and I was happy to hear about the 45 day review to get all the facts and take a look at the whole picture

But congress had other plans .. they had no intention of reviewing anything .. their minds were already made up
