No, only hoped for by some FReepers who are secretly wishing all sorts of evil on Americans over this damn port deal. Any and all future terrorist attacks will surely be tied to this port deal. I can see it now--the first case of Bird Flu in the States will be blamed on the port deal.
I think it's reasonable for Dubai (the gov't) to be in a bit of a huff over this. However, DPW is the one who pulled the deal. Seems most of the huffing and puffing is being done here. If they get their nose out of joint then we give them their time to react. It's not the end of the world and someone at DPW has probably heard the word "no" before. So many histrionics for something that will probably barely be a blip on the radar screen a year from now.
I, for one, am glad the U.S. is still calling the shots, not the UAE. My country, the U.S., has well earned the right to call the shots around the world. They need us and they know it.
