The President shouldn't have to sit down with Congress and the American people and explain everything to them like a bunch of school children. I understood what this deal was about shortly after the story broke. Bush DID explain it I HEARD IT. HBis supporters explained it. The fact is you've got a hostile media, opportunistic Democrats and linguini spined Republicans in an election year. The President and his supporters could talk until their blue in the face, people weren't going to be happy until we "stopped 'dem Arabs from runnin' our ports"
