No it doesn't. It just means that they saw the writing on the wall. Why try to squeeze water out of a rock? And if they decide to disinvite our military assets from the Port of Dubai, we'll be a thousand miles from the Iranian fleet rather than thirty.

What kind of idiotic reasoning is that? So if you cut somebody off in traffic and they honk their horn at you, you were right to cut them off?

No, this just reinforces what the rest of the world tends to think about Americans - way to overwrought emotionally, and not much gray matter in the skullbox.
Congress has proven once and for all that they have overstayed their freshness date.

Based upon how you think "friends" can be treated, I guess I will thank God that I cannot be counted among your "friends"
And I thought it was only liberals who ignore facts and reality, and make decisions based upon fear and feelings. Silly me.

What a ridiculous thing to say! Let's follow your logic.
After all we have done for France, they refuse to support the US in the war on Iraq. Many Americans, myself included, wanted a boycott of France and wanted to make sure none of the rebuilding contracts went to France. So does that "just prove" we were never a friend to France in the first place?
