Bingo. I'm sick of the "GWB always knows best" crowd telling us that our desire to have illegal immigration stopped, and illegals deported, is too simple-minded, and that having a UAE-owned company involved in our port security is necessary because they're such good "allies."

Time to worry just a little bit about the "American street," President Bush.

Yes we would pefer that they not participate in the boycott, they pay lip service to the boycott, while winking and nodding and allowing Israeli goods in and out every day. Much like the Moroccans, who don't "recognize" Israel, while doing a lot of commericial activity. The realities of that part of the world are such that you need to work with the relatively moderate and draw them in.

If you stand off and wait until they spontaneously become like Minnesota, you'll wake up one day and find Indianapolis, Chicago and Orlando incinerated and wonder which of the 40 nuclear-armed islamic nations it came from.

After seeing how the election in 2000 went (Florida and the aftermath), along with the one in 2004 (do we have another "Florida"?) -- I would say that there is a large group of "stupid" out there.

And so you're going to cut off your nose to spite your face, I suppose. That will show them all right. It's a good thing that Israel doesn't think the same way, or they wouldn't be doing business with the UAE. In the meantime, Iran will simply get the bomb and blow Israel to bits. Yep, then we'll get the real "point" to the port deal.

We'll see who is right -- pretty soon.
