Right now the UAE uses the American military as it's own private security force.

Correct. We help prop up that dictatorship because the alternatives are not very good at this point. Hopefully, things will change in the future.

We are not propping up the UAE. We are there because it's to our advantage to have a presence in the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE benefits from the money they receive.
