You are seeing headlines, as opposed to poster's speculations, that the UAE is going to do that? Is that MSM speculation or are they putting it out as announcements from the UAE? (even that would be suspect from the MSM)

Yes, drudgereport.com has a few headlines for starters, "Dubai Pulls Out", "UAE Threat to Hit Back", "Arab ally senses Bush no longer has control in Washington...".

I hardly think that Matt Drudge is MSM, but he sure does link at times. It's obvious that there are many Americans still uncomfortable with the Middle East. I have to admit, I was there and sometimes I felt out of place (though didn't feel endangered, it's just a different part of the world).

I really wished that this port deal could have worked out. I work with plenty of non-Americans from all parts of the world, not just Muslims, Christians, and Jews either.

Perhaps in a short while, we can try this again. It's like a Cold War thriller film where Soviets and Americans have to get along for a little while just to accomplish an extremely important mission (like shoot some nuclear missiles into outer space to knock a big planet killing rock into little tiny pieces).

Please excuse my humor, I don't take the news headlines all that seriously...for example, did you know that Bush's approval rating is at an all time low? Yahoo news says it's so. Big whoopdeedoo.
