And here I was guessing that number three would be a grad assistant or professor. My bias must be showing.
Birmingham Southern is a Methodist school. My mom graduated there in 1950 with a degree in Piano. She died last December. I'm kinda glad she's not here to see this, but I'm sure she knew about it before anyone on earth did.

The first 4 or 5 churches they burned were all white but one. The next 4 or 5 that they burned were all black. Locals speculated that they intended to burn the buildings of "black churches", but in the first go round weren't especially smart about making sure the church had mostly black members. When it came out in the news that they had burned mostly "white churches", they screened their next choices more carefully. Lots of men have been spending long nights guarding their church buildings since this started. I think they should lock the arsonists in a church building and set it on fire as their punishment.

I am not at all surprised by this. I knew (my own biases, I suppose) that it would be white male teens, most likely middle class. I'm guessing that we'll discover at least one "goth" among them.

Now, here's the deal. Since they're theater majors, I can almost guarantee that there's video of them setting these fires. They wouldn't be able to resist.
