"Any recent polling on the Dubai Port deal?"

------

" A recent Rasmussen Reports poll showed that 64 percent of people opposed the deal to turn the ports over to Dubai Ports World while just 17 percent approved.

However, the same poll showed that 61 percent of respondents incorrectly thought that the ports were currently being operated by a U.S. firm or simply did not know what country is currently operating them, showing that general knowledge of the situation remains low. "

The fact that the respondents did not know which country owned this company seems irrelevant judging by the new ABC/Washington Post poll conducted March 2/5. The question informs the respondents which countrie owns this company. After hearing this fact, those polled then went on to oppose the deal by a larger than 3 to 1 ratio.
Asked of those who think this company should NOT manage the ports, "Do you feel that way mainly because you don't think any foreign company should manage a U.S. port, or mainly because you don't think a company owned by the United Arab Emirates should manage a U.S. port?, the responses were the following:

No foreign company: 74%
No UAE company: 24%
