No, she never smoked and was very health conscience. You could have found that bit of information out from prior reports when she announced she had cancer.

Seems the disease runs in her family, her mother passed away from ovarian cancer a few years back.

It's more likely that there was a genetic predisposition and with the extreme stress she was under for years, she succumbed to the cancer. It's just tragic.
