It seems like Hollywood is trying to do some serious fence mending with the viewing public by showing all these clips from old movies.
I liked Stewart's sarcastic remark after all the message movie clips: "And none of those issues were ever a problem again!"
They do that at every ceremony. AMPAS is big on movie history.
