The greatest liberal double-speak of our time.....

"Tolerance for differences, remain open minded"

"Disregard for these rules will not be tolerated"

"Remain open-minded", which means "pass no judgements, whether moral, personal, or ideological."

Sounds like a poli sci class to me.
I bet the teacher is one of those guys who think empirical
science is best interpreted in a framework, rather than
letting the framework and the empirical data "battle it out"
for epistomological "bragging" rights.
I think there are plenty of topics of geography that are
non political in nature, and can fill all of the hours
that the class is allotted.
Bottom line: teacher needs a new job.

No. "Open-minded" means "Ready to reject what you know for my nutty left-wing ideas." You'll note that they have no desire to be "open-minded" when it comes to conservative ideas and have no problem being quite judgemental about traditional, Judeo-Christian, or conservative ideas.

Yep, this teacher's syllabus is positively Orwellian. The following could result from educators like this guy:

"Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary, they adored the Party and everything connected with it… All their ferocity was turned outwards, against the enemies of the State, against foreigners, traitors, saboteurs, thought-criminals. It was almost normal for people over thirty to be frightened of their own children."
