I have been looking at all of the sites I have bookmarked that might have a note about Coleman.

I even went to his site..nothing..and to C-spans site and they had the other news that I saw, but not this...

Maybe I am imagining things...I will wait until tomorrow..see what happens.

I sure will...I have gone to about 8 sites so far...and nothing.

I really find it odd that the C-span site doesn't have it...since that is where I read it.

Just so you know --- I don't doubt you at all!
I've seen Coleman make some remarks along that vein.

Coleman has been in a snit --- over the UAE I think.
Seem to recall he has some legislation on the burner that goes against the WH. Not sure. I didn't pay close attention.

Minn. Rep calls for new White House team
3/14/2006, 7:24 p.m. CT
By FREDERIC J. FROMMER
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — Saying the White House has been afflicted by a political "tin ear," Sen. Norm Coleman on Tuesday called on President Bush to bring in a new team.

"I have some concerns about the team that's around the president," said Coleman, a Minnesota Republican with close ties to Bush. "I think you need to take a look at it."

Coleman cited the White House's handling of the response to Hurricane Katrina, the failed nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court and the now-scuttled plans for Dubai-based DP World to take over terminals at six major U.S. seaports.

"All of a sudden we're hearing the phrase 'tin ear,'" Coleman said in a telephone interview. "That's a phrase you shouldn't hear. The fact that you're hearing it says that the kind of political sensitivity, the ear-to-the-ground that you need in the White House, isn't there at the level that it needs to be."

Coleman declined to specify which staff members should be replaced, or what new people should be brought in. He said he hadn't talked to Bush or anyone at the White House about his concerns.

"Ultimately the president has to make a decision about his team," Coleman said. "And the president knows what he needs. I think it's obvious to those on the Hill — and it's got to be obvious to those at the White House — that we're skipping too many beats nowadays. We're not operating at the highest level of political sensitivity that you need."

White House spokesman Ken Lisaius said the experience of the president's staff has served Bush well.

"This president has attracted very talented people who work very hard," he said. "But the longevity which might be under question by some has to be considered and balanced against the wealth of experience that this talented staff brings to the table."

Coleman seems to be branching out into areas that are way beyond his abilities.

He's running with the wrong pack of wolves apparently. Perhaps someone will smack him back into reality.

What Coleman is doing is idiotic, especially in an election year when he's up for re-election.

Right, and he goes around saying the White House has a "tin ear". *wah-ha-ha* *sniffle*

Whatever.

Straighten up and flight right Norm.

Ah that's what the problem is. He needs to take a break. GWB is the best judge of who he wants to keep. As I recall the Bush family unofficial motto is that they fire only for disloyalty, boneheadedness can we worked around.

Rumsfeld and I've heard Cheney mention that in previous interviews during the first term. The ones who have remained in the administration to this day have been the most loyal members of the administration.

The ones not working there now, are the ones who sought and continue to seek to undermine this White House.

Exactly. I know from obsevation that this bunch of folks in the WH are very loyal to the President and to each other and they are doing fine. Many struggle because they want to be on the inside and that can't happen. The WH is a bunch of poker players and they will not tip their hand and that just drives the media and others crazy. I like it frankly.

I like it too. It's fun watching the White House critics kept in a snit.

I love when McClellan goes out there and just ticks everyone off, both sides. I roll on the floor. He follows orders so well. He is a good soldier. People will now line up here to call for Scott's head. I love the guy. :) He's great at shifting the issue, he draws the fire away from the boss and that is just brilliant IMO.

God bless Chuck Grassley: Do you think Congress can write one plan for 44 million seniors? No, Chuck, I don't.
