I know, it's Mardi Gras. And Mayor Nagin is trying to be funny. Probably he believes he is paying tribute to that "John Wayne Dude," Lt. Gen. Russel Honore.
But still, there' something funny about the imagery.
And I guess he better learn to ride if he is going to take up residence with the rest of his family in Texas after the elections.

Hear, hear!
See my previous post. If he were my student, I would cure him of hanging on his horse's mouth QUICK.
I would rather throw my reins away than hang a horse in the mouth. I have NEVER hit my mare in the mouth . . . but I have thrown my reins away many times over fences to avoid it.

I'm thinking more in line that Gen. Honore should have been there to bitch slap the jerk, rip that military jacket with the General Stars on the lapel off of him and yell in his face "you, rat crap, are stuck on stupid!"

I think I see a NUC, and maybe some sort of Viet Nam Army unit award. Maybe the Dog Faces can help...Would someone please tell me what his first medal is (the one in the upper left corner).
Can it be the CMH?

At this point I think it is rather obvious that Nagin wishes not to be reelected to mayor of New Orleans.
To: BigSkyFreeper
"Stuck on stupid" rings a bell....
Nagin is so "Stuck on Stupid" that Gen. Honore himself would have to invent another phrase to better describe just how "Stuck on Stupid" Nagin really is.
To: Cecily
Also, isn't his horse the wrong color? Or is the horse symbolic of his desire to dominate the white man? Who knows? The man is goofier than Farrakhan.
=======
Under no circumstances would he ride a chocolate horse.
That would too easily equate him to the horse... and more specifically... the posterior thereof, e.g., cheeks that match !!!
