How do they propose to eliminate poverty? They couldn't even keep the Katrina Hurricane victims housed and fed for the rest of their lives. If they couldn't manage to change the lot of victims of a natural disaster, how are they going to make the rest of the country's poor rich? Let's just go back to the Great Society and spend billions more on fighting poverty. For sure, it would will work this time.
