I have watched the 'Loose Change' movie mentioned in the article.

Imagine a college student splicing together video clips with a synthisizer for scary music.

Among the wacko theories he pushes:

-the WTC was hit by military aircraft, without windows and with huge missile pod, not commerical airliners. These aircraft fired missiles at the WTC prior to impact.

-the Pentagon was hit by a GlobalHawk or small military jet. The 9/11 hijackers were not capable of flying the aircraft in the manner they did so sclose to the ground. the hole in the Pentagon is not big enough. Footage is shown of a box covered witha tarp, we are meant to think its something secret.

-the WTC towers and WTC7 was brought down by controlled demolition. There was not enough fire to damage the building. Larry Silverstein told firefighters to "pull it", demolish his building.

-the Todd Beamer/United 93 calls were faked

These "theories" are so insane that there's absolutely no risk of their catching on beyond a small subset of the population that has some organic mental disorder. An awful lot of people saw at least one of the planes hit its target, with their own eyes. And many, many more people have a trusted friend or relative who saw it, and whose account they've heard and believe. Personally, I know a college senior who watched from the window of her high school. She and her schoolmates were already completely focused on the flaming first tower, at the time the second plane approached and hit the second tower. They would have noticed if missile hits had preceded the plane hit, or if the plane was a windowless military jet, rather than the familiar commercial passenger type.
