TURIN, Italy — For the Olympic grand finale, think Fellini. Picture 35,000 spectators sporting 35,000 red clown noses. Imagine original costumes from the Italian director's film The Clowns. Envision Italy's prime minister behind a mask representing angels and devils.

And, as a final surreal homage to the genius behind La Dolce Vita, throw in the singer behind La Vida Loca, Ricky Martin.

Oh, thank you! I *thought* I saw a whole bunch of regular people with red clown noses on - when I was switching back and forth from "Dancing". So, it wasn't my imagination? Yikes!

I hope they had those red foam rubber ones and not the hard plastic ones, those pinch really badly.
