Oh my. The clowns are right in front of the stage. I would refuse to go on until the clowns were moved.
I would have that in my contract!
It's one of those things you never think of until it's too late.
I'm sure he was backstage wish he had something in his contract stating he would not go on stage if there was one or more clowns in the first 15 rows.
