I've been reading your comments.
I really hope you're asking because you want the facts... not because you want to feel better about what you might have done, helped someone else do or plan on doing in the future for convenience. How about you bring some links to the discussion to view and discuss with others?
I honestly don't know the facts. Now that it's going to become a national debate again, I'd like to know the score before I decide if I'll even take part in the debate.

Even before implantation, embryos are human, says Vatican official, I am so glad they have said this. I don't like going to implantation as a definition for the beginning of life, but I'd have at least understood the dividing line in legal terms. After that there is no line!
I remember watching a Nature or Nova special on I think the development of the human brain, and at some point during the section on gestation, they mentioned how there is no point at which you can say the baby's brain is off and then next thing you know, it's switched on. It's like a 'dimmer switch' that gradually comes to full function and illumination, there is NO clear dividing line.
Therefore, legally, any 'error' should be in favor of life.

Bump to everything you wrote. :) I completely agree, and wish I had seen that special!
