One of them also threatened bodily harm against the President of the United States. Life sentences possible.

One need only hear the names of the three indicted to know they are Muslims.

AG: Defendants have been living in the US and engaging in weapons training. All three have manufactured IED's.

One of them engaged in construction of timing devices and his aim, he said, was to target US assets.

Interesting indictment. Odd that the copy of it, though, looks like it's been photocopied a hundred times. It looks pretty beat up.

I would want the prosecution to follow the law and observe their "rights". We do not have to throw away our Constitution to protect ourselves.

Article 3
Section. 3.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

US Attorney in Ohio: Info came to bureau under joint terrorism task force in Toledo prior to investigation being started. The trainer was one source of information.

I don't know why. To hear the Left, and even a substantial minority on the Right, tell it, GWB is dumb, clueless, a failure, etc., etc.

(BTW, hi Peach. Thanks for the ping.)

It is interesting. As to the quality of the copy, who knows. Too bad we can't ask Dan Rather. He's a pro. ;^)

Question: Vetting process re port security deal?

AG: It's our job to vet these kinds of issues by foreign companies. To evaluation the national security risk. We have a detailed process that involves numerous agencies. I want to emphasize that this isn;t about port security or ownership. Security is still in the hands of US agencies.

AG: We're very concerned about port security and is the charge of all the agencies involved in the deal. I can't go into much detail about discussions because it's a classified process.

FNC and CNN break away.

Peter Brookes - Former CIA operative:

Lots of recruitment in various places, including Italy. So they had the motivation and were training people to go to Iraq and undertake this. They knew what they were doing, IED's, etc. These guys were serious about their objectives.

We have to be successful at catching these a'holes 100% of the time. They only need to get lucky once.

Although the murderous Islamofascists probably will get lucky at some point in the future, so far they have not been able to hit us here at home in the 4 1/2 years since 9/11/01. So clearly the Administration has been doing something right.

The administration has done a fantastic job at keeping attacks away from our shores. The Islamofascists can threaten all they want. So far, we've seen the success at our killing them overseas.

They face our armed and trained soldiers who can kill them without fear of pandering to the Democrat's bill of rights that seem to be taking hold in this country.
