Another strike against Republicans and Bush. "Oh, yeah--we are fighting terrorists" Our military is, but the Administration is giving away the country.

if the administration insists on advocating this - then they deserve to have the political wolves come after them, and it will be bi-partisan in nature, congresional inquiries, whatever it takes.
I personally think the companies involved will retreat from the acquisition deal this week.

The Department of Homeland Security was created at the behest of the Rand Corporation and CSIS, not by the American people, and it doesn't appear to operate in our interests.

"We make sure there are assurances in place, in general, sufficient to satisfy us that the deal is appropriate from a national security standpoint," Chertoff said on ABC's "This Week." Well that cinches it for me. Just look at the outstanding job Chertoff has done with our borders.

I never liked the idea of Department of Homeland Security cabinet from day one. I do like protecting America from terrorism. We did it during World War II without DHS back than and they did a mighty fine job. If the Republicans do nothing about it, the Democrats could win.

I am the only one on this site who is not worried about Dubai providing management services for our ports? The ports will STILL be under control of the local port authorities. Besides, Dubai is the Monaco, Arizona, and Switzerland of the Middle East rolled into one. Sheik Makhtoum runs the most liberal state in the region, one where women are not subject to the veil and the house, and where the free market reigns.
This controversy over the ports is a tempest in a teapot.
