I am self taught on the computer and have been working on learning to set up tables forr the past week and a half!! I knew I was making it harder than it needed to be and as I read thru Billie's 3 threads it all finally clicked!!

Good morning. Just read through some of last evening's posts, and have a big smile on my face! Zacs Mom, your graphics have always been delightful to me, so to read your post about understanding tables from the 3 links Meg posted makes me feel really good. I love that I can help anyone understand this Greek stuff called HTML Tables - Heaven knows it took me forever to understand the how and whys of it all!

I empathize, having used three different word programs on the computer at work before I retired, but knew nothing about HTML when I waded into Internet waters.

Finding FR in 1997 and registering in April 1998 (# 4,000-something), it was so slow then a reply you made stayed on the first Forum page most of the day!

There was not "Preview," though, and invariably one badly "messed up."
I, too, of necessity in order to participate, "figured out" how the heck to do things.

You weren't here 3 years ago this month when my right arm was badly broken in an auto accident - top bone popped out of the elbow socket, and the under ulna bone split into two sword pieces; bridged with a titanium rod late that night.

A True FR Addict, I was sent home the next morning and promptly hit the keyboard to report in to The Finest...with a cast on the right arm, unable for 5 whole months to use the arm or even to get it anywhere NEAR my body, I "taught" my poor left hand how to both use the mouse AND type every word, hunt & peck style..:))

With your clever graphics you will have magnificent tables. billie's threads are full of helpful info. I still go thru them on occasion & pick up new things that at the time I "couldn't handle" - overload more or less. good luck!
