"Vince Foster's death was a "message."
Ron Brown's death was a "message."
Mary Jo Kopechne's death was a cover-up."

Ding!Ding! I think we have another winner!

I just posted on another thread the following:

Can we PUH-LEASE put a stop to this silliness?!? We are fighting Canada geese off the golf courses, prairie dogs from outside our homes, and deer from our lawns.

Not to mention the stray dogs that someone didn't want anymore. Give it a rest, people!! The gun VP Cheney was using was standard, and he was using the shells that are standard for quail. Not very powerful...quail are tiny, they are good eating, and you don't want to tear them up with major shot. In my opinion, more trouble than they're worth to clean and prepare for eating! Not a lot of meat.

When I hear about the horses, cattle, and other LARGE animals that are being slaughtered (and you do NOT want to know how it's done) for meat here and in foreign countries, this silliness over Cheney's accident is typical liberal, "oh BOY! we've got him now!" crap.

Until you have been bird-hunting, know how to use a shotgun, and have a bird dog who knows what he's doing, please refrain from further comment. Or, if you prefer, please visit us here in the Texas Panhandle and see how we take care of prairie dogs.

This, of course, is being addressed ONLY to vegans who eat nothing but carrots, broccoli, and whatever other plants they can find. If you are a meat-eater, please disregard.

I've been quail hunting several times, a 28 gauge shell at anything other than point-blank range is really only dangerous if it hits somebody's eye. This was an unfortunate accident, but not all that uncommon. Getting hit in the head with a baseball can be far more dangerous, this is on about the same level as getting a fish hook through your hand.

I'm sure that Cheney feels a lot of regret and will probably be replaying this in his head for the rest of his life. But it was an accident and that's all that needs to be said.
