Errr, maybe not.

1917 was one particular year during The Great War. I could have chosen 1916, for that was the year of the Somme.

Check out the recruiting posters of the era as well as the speeches. "We are the army of God! They are the unfaithful!" It was on both sides. One can only conclude that Christians are insane, right? No, of course not.

I work with many Marines. I have good friends in I MEF. Most of them have a deep respect for their Iraqi counterparts, Moslems all. I heard an Army colonel give a talk at a recent conference. He got choked up when he spoke of the Iraqi soldiers who had given their lives protecting Americans.
